Pissed off about the free cell phones that welfare recipients can get. Okay, Safelink is supposed to be for emergency purposes. That's fine, but why do they come with 250 minutes? You can make 911 calls for free - why do they need 250 minutes? I think of a cell phone is a luxury item, not a necessity. If you want a cell phone - GET A JOB and BUY ONE!

I Am a Bad Parent

I have always said there is no such thing as ADD or ADHD, but it is a product of bad parenting. Well, guess what. Our 9 year old son is going to be tested for ADD, and we may get a positive result. This test can be done in the Doctor's office, which is good, because any further testing at an outside facility has a 12 month waiting list!

What to do? We DO NOT want him to take a prescription med that will take away his spirit. He is a fun, happy child and we don't want him to have a dull personality.

Researching alternative treatments, and one says that sometimes Fish Oil supplements can benefit. Good, because I began giving him the new One A Day Gummie vitamins with Fish Oil.
